Dr. Kellogg's Road to Wellness Exhibit

This is a unique exhibit based on the history of the Battle Creek Sanitarium and its health principles. It will be an amalgamation of a Sanitarium museum and an interactive health science exhibit.

 

While this exhibit has been initially designed as a Dr. Kellogg Museum to teach health principles, It does not have to emphasize Dr. Kellogg. It can easily be adapted and redesigned to fit the needs of a specific organization or company. For example: It could be a museum that showcases when natural remedies were first utilized on a scientific basis or it could simply be an historical museum based on the health movement of that time period. This exhibit is almost ready to be built. We have most all the antique sanitarium equipment we need (mostly unrestored), the first round of designs can be seen below, we have over 1000 Sanitarium-related antique photos and all the research in hand.

 

Battle Creek Sanitarium proved the effectiveness of Dr. Kellogg's Biologic Living principles. This exhibit is an opportunity to highlight that history. Inherent in that history are many health experiments from that time which proved his health principles to be superior. The Sanitarium was world-famous because of it. We hope to make those principles famous again and have it serve the public. The stories of the Battle Creek Sanitarium will be "told" by some of the famous visitors to the Sanitarium: Thomas Edison, Admiral Byrd, Clara Barton, J.C. Penney, Sojourner Truth, Dr. Scholl, Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan) and others can be seen and heard throughout the exhibit extolling the virtues of "Biologic Living" from their own experiences.
